Won British Insurance Awards - Professional Development & Training Award

For creating a suite of vulnerable customer training, covering topics such as threat to life, domestic abuse, financial distress and dementia. We use experts within each field and deliver training with care and sensitivity, to help our front line colleagues correctly identify and sign post where needed.

Judges’ comments: "It was highly evident from the content of the presentation how genuinely invested Covéa is in their customers, detailing the steps they take to do their utmost to support them throughout the claims process, with high level expertise and flexibility in particularly challenging times. Very impressive."

Won Fraud Solution of the Year (Insurance Times Claims Excellence Awards)

Judges’ comments: "The judges were impressed with the firm’s approach to ghost broking as it was all undertaken in-house. Added to that, the amount of money saved through this initiative was noteworthy."

Judges’ comments: "Genuinely invested in their customers, Covéa Insurance has worked with broker partners to create an informative, responsive and results orientated claims service. Covéa Insurance listened to their customers and used feedback to transform and tailor their services to suit broker and customer needs."

Won Insurance Claims Team of the Year (Insurance Post Claims & Fraud Awards)

Judges’ comments: "Our entry showed how a surge event exposes the true service commitment of an insurance company when each aspect of its operation is tested to the limits. Earlier this year a record-breaking triple storm cluster put our claims team to the test and they went above and beyond to deliver on our promises."

Won Employer of the Year (Business for Calderdale Awards 2022)

Judges’ comments:  "As we operate in a ‘candidates' market’ having your people strategy spot on is crucial – and that is exactly what Covéa have done. The Judges were impressed with the depth and breadth of Covéa's investment in their people and that they truly live their values. Ultimately, this is reflected in their success."

Won Personal Lines Insurer of the Year (Insurance Times Awards 2022)

Judges’ comments:  "For Covéa's strong performance throughout 2022, in particular around claims management, low complaint volumes, broker feedback and strong customer experience scores."

Won General Insurer of the Year (British Insurance Awards)

The judges chose Covéa Insurance as winners of this prestigious award because of "its exceptional response to customers and brokers throughout the pandemic, delivered by employees who were all working from home.  Alongside this, the company stayed true to its community values, donating its apprenticeship levy to fund training for local businesses, while employees donated over £100k to help charities struggling to raise funds during lockdown."  At the same time, customer service ratings increased and brokers praised Covéa's accessibility and flexibility in supporting them and maintaining continued exceptional service throughout the pandemic.

The judges said that we "demonstrated clear progress in improving the claims experience for clients during the pandemic, against a backdrop of severe reputational damage to the insurance industry."

We placed top in both and were the only insurer to receive a five star rating in both the CL and PL surveys.

This award looked for a team player who goes above and beyond to do themselves, their team and their company proud. Well done to Rachel, one of our Junior Software Engineers, who won this award!

Won Best Place to Work in Digital - Large Organisations (Digital Technology Leader's Awards)

This award looked for the best place to work in digital (large organisations).  We were chosen as the winners for our huge efforts in making the workplace a benefit to peoples’ lives, not an impediment.

At the highly prestigious British Insurance Awards 2020, we were awarded this accolade for our focus on employee well being and for creating a culture of inclusion and belonging where everyone feels safe and supported to be their authentic selves in our workplace.
