How do I report my claim?

Register your claim using the details above.

Please have the following information to hand:
-  Policy number, your name / driver’s name
-  Vehicle make, model and registration number
-  Details of the incident including name and address of the other driver, their insurance company, policy number and car registration
   number
-  Crime reference number (a requirement for theft claims)

What happens now?

After you have reported the incident, our claims team will send you a Statement of Fact containing the details you have provided and request any further information required to proceed with your claim

Further advice
DO:
  • Contact the Covéa Insurance Motor Trade Care Line immediately to report the incident even if you don’t intend to make a claim
  • In the event of an accident
  • Ask the other drivers and passengers involved for their names, addresses and telephone numbers, any injuries, name of their insurers and if possible their policy or certificate number
  • If involved in an accident, make a note of the vehicle registration numbers, make or model of, and any injuries or damage to other property
  • Send us any letters or documents you received in connection with an accident
  • Call the police and obtain a crime reference if the police attend the scene.
  • In the event of theft

DON'T:
  • Discuss at the scene of an accident whose fault the accident seems to have been
  • Apologise or admit any fault or liability
