Covéa Insurance achieves Sunday Times Top 100 ranking

19th January 2015

Covéa Insurance is officially one of Britain’s Best Companies to work for, earning a place in the 2015 annual ranking of the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For in the mid-sized companies sector.

The Best Companies annual survey is widely regarded as the most rigorous measure of employee engagement in the UK. For Covéa Insurance to have achieved this accolade in only the 2nd year it has taken part, clearly demonstrates the progress made since the formation of the company in 2012.

The survey was independently administered and evaluated by Best Companies and 88% of the 896 employees surveyed submitted responses. Employee engagement was measured in key areas including; pay & benefits, well-being, charitable activities, leadership and personal growth opportunities.

James Reader, Covéa Insurance Chief Executive, commented:

“We’re committed to creating an environment where our employees feel fully engaged within the workplace and believe Covéa Insurance is a great place to work. We’ve listened carefully to the feedback we received from last year’s survey and used this to implement changes to make Covéa Insurance an even better place to work. I’m very proud that the opinions of our people this year have earned us a place in the Sunday Times 2015 100 Best Companies to Work For ranking. I’d like to thank and congratulate all of our team for helping to make this happen.”

Covéa Insurance increased its workforce by 8% in 2014 and expects to increase employee numbers still further in 2015, principally at its Halifax and Reading offices. In 2014 Covéa Insurance received an Investors in People Gold Award and announced a multi-million pound investment in new premises in the historic Dean Clough Mills, which will provide a new single site location for its Halifax-based employees.
