Covéa Insurance awarded 'Investors in People' Gold accreditation

Covéa Insurance is pleased to announce it has been awarded Gold accreditation by Investors In People (IIP), placing the insurer among the best employers in the country. This is the second time Covéa Insurance has achieved the accolade which it first gained in October 2014.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Gold is one of the highest levels of Investors in People accreditation that can be achieved.

Achieving Gold accreditation demonstrates the significant progress Covéa Insurance has made towards its aspiration of creating a great place to work and shows the company’s genuine commitment to helping its employees fulfil their potential.

The IIP framework is an external benchmark that measures employee-centred success indicators including; recruitment, training, engagement and development of employees.

The IIP Gold accreditation was awarded to Covéa Insurance for 3 years following an assessment which took place in July 2017 involving interviews with 151 staff members across all levels and areas of the business.

“I was blown away by the amazing feedback I received from employees I interviewed, it’s clear that Covéa Insurance has created a buzzing and energetic culture, fantastic for such a large business,  in which employees are encouraged to develop and excel in their careers,” 

Covéa Insurance is an expanding business, recruiting over 300 new employees in the last eighteen months, with plans to recruit an additional 100 people at its Halifax office by the end of this year.  The company has been working with the IIP for twenty years, maintaining accreditation throughout.
