Covéa Insurance expands Halifax offices to accommodate surge in recruitment

Covéa Insurance is expanding its Halifax based operations with the announcement that it has secured additional office space at Dean Clough in Halifax. The new premises will be filled, in part, by moving existing employees from its town centre offices and will also provide additional capacity to accommodate the company’s growing workforce.

In a phased move, around 150 staff will relocate to Dean Clough in May and June 2014, with the company expecting to accommodate up to 212 employees in the new building by 2016, as part of its longer term development plans.

James Reader, Chief Executive, Covéa Insurance commented:

“In the last year we have recruited over 40 new employees to manage our new home claims operation which we in-sourced from 1 April. We also have a range of initiatives underway and as a result expect our Halifax employee base to grow from the current 525, to 650 by 2016. Halifax is a great location for our business, and one we are firmly committed to. The additional office space at Dean Clough will provide us with the extra space and facilities to accommodate our growing business.”
