Covéa Insurance expands its Real Estate proposition with new appointment

Covéa Insurance has increased its underwriting capability, with the appointment of experienced Real Estate underwriter Rickee Murrell as Senior Regional Underwriter, to support the growth of its new Real Estate product, launched last year.

Rickee is based in the specialist Real Estate Team at the company’s London City office where he will use his experience (gained at Axa and RSA) to facilitate trading of the Covéa Insurance Real Estate product. Rickee has established strong links and excellent working relationships with key Real Estate brokers trading in London, and across the South East, that will be beneficial in his new role.

Gareth Roberts, who joined the Covéa Insurance team as London Real Estate Leader in September last year, explained the reason behind Rickee’s appointment:

“We have an excellent Real Estate proposition that’s proving to be very successful. Rickee’s appointment will support the growth of this business class by ensuring brokers have ready access to experienced underwriters who can make decisions and provide the service and cover their clients need. He will add capacity to our team and help us to harness the potential we see for growth in Real Estate scaling up our trading capability and accelerating the sustained profitable growth of our commercial account.”
