Covéa Insurance in the running for top industry accolade
9th May
Covéa Insurance is in the running to be named General Insurer of the Year at the British Insurance Awards ceremony on 3rd July, after recently being named a finalist. The nomination recognises the company’s strong growth and financial performance, exceptional approach to customer service and the creation of a supportive working environment for its employees.
The British Insurance Awards is the most prestigious event in the insurance industry calendar, celebrating insurers who lead the field in innovation and service. As well as the General Insurer of the Year nomination, Covéa Insurance is also a finalist in three other categories; Claims Initiative of the Year, Personal Lines Insurer of the Year and Transformational Deal of the Year. The latter is for the successful acquisition and integration of Sterling Insurance Group.
The nominations top a successful first quarter for the Reading insurer, which has also been shortlisted for a further twelve industry awards, received the highest customer service scores of any home insurance provider in the UK and, for the second year running, been ranked as one of the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For.
James Reader, Covéa Insurance’s CEO commented:
“To be shortlisted for an award for Insurer of the Year is a fantastic achievement. It’s a credit to the contributions of the more than 1,500 people who now work for Covéa Insurance, in what has been an incredibly busy year for our business. We’ve successfully integrated Sterling Insurance and recently launched our new direct motor insurance business, Provident Insurance. Most importantly, we’ve continued to deliver upon our commitments to our broker partners, customers and employees.”
