Covéa Insurance launches affinity relationship with Checkatrade

8th December 2020

Covéa Insurance is delighted to announce the launch of a new affinity relationship with Checkatrade, the UK’s biggest online directory of trade services.  The new arrangement makes Covéa Insurance the sole provider of public liability insurance to Checkatrade’s 50,000 members, with effect from 7 December 2020.

As part of the arrangement, members will have access to a tailor-made liability insurance product via a new ‘quote and buy’ site developed by Covéa Insurance specifically for Checkatrade and designed to make purchasing insurance simple and straightforward.

The Checkatrade product has been designed for tradespeople and professionals, providing public liability cover, with the added flexibility of optional extra covers such as employers’ liability, tools cover and contract works to suit a wide range of business needs.

Carolyn Callan, Commercial Lines Director at Covéa Insurance comments: “We are thrilled Checkatrade have chosen to work with us to offer this product to their members and I’d like to thank the teams of both businesses who have worked really hard to deliver this innovative market-leading insurance solution. It represents an important step in expanding our affinity proposition and our continued investment in the growth of our SME business. We look forward to working together with Checkatrade and providing a product that really adds value and delivers for their members.”

Alex Cubitt, Chief Growth Officer at Checkatrade commented: “We’re pleased to provide this benefit from Covéa Insurance. This new partnership will make the process of finding great value liability insurance considerably more straightforward for our busy members.”
