Covéa Insurance launches New E-trade Product for Tradesmen and Professionals

Covéa Insurance is pleased to announce that following a major review it has re-launched its Master Tradesman policy for small businesses and the self-employed.

In response to feedback from brokers, significant changes have been made which include a substantial increase in the number of trades covered, the addition of a new tailored wording to provide specific cover for professionals, and a raft of policy enhancements - 22 in total.

The new revamped product, now called Master Tradesman and Professionals, is electronically trading on Acturis, supported by a market leading guaranteed thirty-minute referral response from Covéa Insurance’s specialist small business trading team.

The new product is designed to give greater support to Covéa Insurance brokers in meeting the evolving insurance needs of the rising number of small businesses and the self-employed. According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) the number of self-employed rose by 732,000 between 2009 and 2014 with around three quarters of this figure being in professional, managerial or clerical/administrative occupations. http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/dcp171776_374941.pdf

Covéa Insurance is currently carrying out a phased re-launch of its entire small business product range and making it easier for brokers to trade with the company through improvements to its e-trade capability.
