Covéa Insurance launches new Fleet product

Covéa Insurance has announced it is opening up availability of its new Fleet product to commercial brokers from the end of December this year, following a period of marketplace testing. The Fleet product will be targeted at businesses with a fleet of up to 25 vehicles, including a mix of cars and commercial vehicles, and will be distributed via the company’s regional trading teams who are based across nine commercial regional offices throughout the UK. The regional trading teams are split between North and South and are led by Maureen Owen and Keith Hector respectively.

Speaking about the rationale behind the new Fleet product, Keith Hector said:
“This is a significant new opportunity both for us and for commercial brokers. We focus on commercial products for small and medium businesses, so the introduction of a Coveá Insurance Fleet product gives us a stronger commercial proposition overall and perfectly complements our existing product range. We also have a strong track record in motor, making fleet a natural progression; it’s a market we know well and believe we can compete in effectively.”

Maureen Owen added:
“As part of our commitment to commercial expansion, we’ve invested substantially in people, providing brokers with direct access to experienced commercial underwriters, through our regional offices. We’re now pleased to offer this new Fleet product, that has been developed in close collaboration with our brokers in response to market demand. This is an important development that will help our brokers to compete and help us achieve sustainable profitable growth.”

The new Fleet product will be supported by the Covéa Insurance award winning motor claims service, which has been independently accredited as ‘world class’ by the Institute of Customer Service.
