Covéa Insurance scoops two industry awards

Covéa Insurance picked up two awards at the recent Insurance Times Awards ceremony in London. After being shortlisted in four categories, the insurer walked away with the coveted prize for Customer Champion of Year and the insurer Award for Training, Excellence and Impact.

Both awards reflect the significant investment and progress the company has made in implementing initiatives that have significantly raised standards and provide customers with a market leading claims service.

The “Customer Champion of the Year” award credits the customer centric approach Covéa Insurance has taken to motor insurance claims, using the First Notification of Loss (FNOL) to offer choice and shape the customer journey. Customers choosing self-service have experienced a reduction in settlement times from 10 to 4 days, and overall cycle times on total losses have reduced by 19%. Customer satisfaction ratings have also soared prompting ‘world class service’ accreditation from the Institute of Customer Service.

The “Training, Excellence and Impact” award recognises the comprehensive training programme implemented to support the creation of a new in-house Home Claims department, designed to give the company complete control over service standards and costs. The award winning training was fundamental to the overall success of the project, which has delivered reductions in claims settlement times and lowered costs.
