Covéa Insurance staff go Gung-Ho! for charity!

On 26th September, 26 employees from Reading business Covéa Insurance will lace up their running shoes and take on a 5k obstacle race at the Royal Windsor Racecourse to raise money for local charity, the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service.

Team Covéa have set up their own fundraising page and are asking friends and family members to sponsor them to take on a unique inflatable obstacle course which includes the highest inflatable slide in Europe!

Covéa Insurance teamed up with Alexander Devine two years ago and the company is committed to sustaining a long-term partnership which will see them helping the charity to raise funds to build Berkshire’s first children’s hospice. The Gung-Ho! race is the latest in a series of events the insurer has taken part in to support the charity including; quiz nights, dress-down days, raffles and practical support in the form of volunteering at various events in Berkshire and at Alexander Devine’s current headquarters in Maidenhead.

Speaking of the event, Covéa Insurance’s Charity Group representative Peter Mapstone said: “Over the past two years our team has taken part in many events to support Alexander Devine, so when we heard about Gung-Ho! We had to get involved! The team was keen to sign up for what looks to be a fantastic event that will raise vital funds for our partners.”
