Covéa Insurance takes to the catwalk

Covéa Insurance is delighted to be one of four sponsors of the forthcoming ‘Style in the City’ event, an annual charity fashion show organised by the Insurance Institute of Manchester which is raising money this year for two good causes – Jump Space and Leisure for Autism.

This year’s event is a 1950’s vintage theme fashion show taking place on 3rd July at the Midland Hotel, Manchester. The IIM have taken a completely fresh approach to the 2015 show and it will feature exciting musical acts, food and fashion, all hosted by vintage singer Kiki DeVille, a previous contestant of The Voice.

Speaking about why Covéa Insurance sponsors the event, Sue Coffey, Head of Personal Lines at Covéa Insurance comments:

“We wanted to sponsor Style in the City because it’s such a worthy cause that brings the insurance industry together and touches us all. The event has been running for a few years now having been started by insurance broker Barry Thompson of Thompson Brothers, whose wife Christine survived cancer. Barry is an inspirational individual who has mobilised support from people across our industry to raise money for cancer charities, in particular, Christies hospital in Manchester, and we’re delighted to be involved. Style in the City is a memorable event and people really do enjoy it, but most importantly it gives us the opportunity to give something back.”
