Local award win for Covéa Insurance employee

Covéa Insurance employee Chelsea Keenan has won ‘Young Apprentice of the Year’ at the 2014 Calderdale College Vocational Qualification Awards.

Chelsea was nominated by the company because, since joining the Covéa Insurance apprenticeship scheme in November 2012 she has made a significant contribution to the business whilst also demonstrating commitment to her professional development through completion of the Customer Service Level 2 Vocational Qualification.

Award winner Chelsea Keenan commented:

“I’ve had a really successful year at Covéa Insurance and winning this local award has been the cherry on the cake for me! The level of support I received throughout the programme from both the company and the college was outstanding - I feel really lucky to have been given this opportunity and would encourage anybody to apply for the apprenticeship scheme.”

The Covéa Insurance apprenticeship programme is a key part of the company’s recruitment strategy and plays an important role in developing an agile workforce capable of meeting changing business needs and demands. The scheme seeks to attract local, young people who want to be in an engaging learning environment and build a career at the same time.
